What is 5G?

No longer an unfamiliar subject to all of us, but there are still many people who don’t understand what is the big deal with 5G? 5G, the 5th generation of mobile internet connection after 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G.

Then, some may question the difference between 4G and 5G.

  • Speed

5G reaches 10 gigabits per second, which is 100 times faster than 4G. That means the 5G network can better meet the increasing demand of network connection in society.

  • Latency rate

Refers to the amount of delayed time of delivering a message from one point to another. The latency rate of 4G is about 40 to 50 milliseconds, while in 5G, the latency rate is only about one millisecond, the rate was improved by approximately 400–500 percent.

  • Spectrum

Which can also be comprehended as capacity. In 5G, there is a lot more capacity than that in 4G, more capacity, therefore, helps increase the speed of data transfer.

Hope the above information can help you understand 5G a bit more, and let’s look forward to how 5G creates a better world for all of us!
